Do Not Sell or Share
Last Updated: February 17, 2026
This page describes the rights of California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), with respect to the sale and sharing of personal information, and how to exercise those rights with LightTrail.
1. Your Rights Under California Law
Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information. The CCPA defines “sale” broadly to include making personal information available to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. “Sharing” refers to making personal information available to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
These rights apply regardless of whether you have an account or business relationship with LightTrail. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
2. Our Data Practices
LightTrail does not sell your personal information. LightTrail does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
Our analytics platform is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not monetize visitor data or make personal information available to third parties for advertising purposes. For complete details on how we collect, use, and protect your information, please review our Privacy Policy.
While we do not currently engage in activities that constitute a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA, we respect your right to opt out and provide the following mechanisms for you to communicate your preferences.
3. How to Exercise Your Opt-Out Rights
You may exercise your right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information through any of the following methods:
Option 1: Submit a Request via Email
Send an email to security@lighttrail.com with the subject line “CCPA Opt-Out Request.” Include your name and any information that will help us identify and process your request.
Option 2: Call Us
Call (619) 930-5411 during business hours to submit your opt-out request. A representative will assist you with your request.
Option 3: Manage Cookie Preferences
You can manage your cookie and tracking preferences directly through our cookie preference center. Click the button below to review and update your preferences.
5. Identity Verification
When you submit a data subject request (such as a request to know, delete, or opt out), we may need to verify your identity to protect your privacy and security. Verification may involve:
- Matching information you provide with information we already have on file
- Requesting additional documentation
- Using a third-party verification service
We will not fulfill a request if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request. We will notify you if we are unable to verify your request and explain any next steps available to you.
6. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
LightTrail honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. GPC is a browser-level setting that communicates your privacy preference to websites you visit. When we detect a GPC signal from your browser:
- We treat it as a valid opt-out request under the CCPA
- Non-essential tracking scripts, including analytics and marketing pixels, are automatically suppressed
- Only essential scripts required for security, load balancing, and session management remain active
- No further action is required from you
You can enable GPC in your browser settings or by installing a browser extension that supports it. For more information, visit globalprivacycontrol.org.
7. Contact Information
If you have questions about this page, your privacy rights, or wish to submit a request, you may contact us using any of the methods below. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
